Bridging the Ha ha is a precursor to the proposed renovation and adaption of the existing mausoleum into a performance space. The bridge will become a destination on a new public route between the Hall and the Mausoleum.
In homage to Starlight Castle, the new crossing will be constructed within 24 hours. The National Trust also require crossing to retract when the estate in closed to the public preventing people from crossing to the Mausoleum. The isolated nature of the site requires all materials and components to be physically carried to the site, consequently final designs should consider the portability, size, weight and assembly of each element.
Following individual work creating four concept proposals, each member of the group is to present a single concept. The group must then decide on one design to develop and create a final proposal documenting our work via a number of means:
1. 1:10 scale model of bridge
2. 1:5 scale model of a key detail or element
3. Technical Section
